Malifaux Story Campaign: The Gorgon’s Tomb

Since the first discovery of Malifaux the venom of the dreaded Gorgon has infected the inhabitants of the land. Even the most powerful and influential denizens have felt her grasp. Artifacts and effigies have been found across the landscape, each one hinting at the power that resides within the creature. No real proof has been found as to where this dreaded being rests. Until now.

Colony Six. Erased from the records of Malifaux history this abandoned colony was one of many failed attempts of humanity to spread across the lands. Tucked between dark swampland and jagged mountains the inhabitants made their attempt to carve out an existence so far southeast of the great city. Whether or not the inhabitants were aware of the Necropolis buried in the swamps or the dangers that may lurk in the caverns by the mines is uncertain. One thing is known, however. The whispers that are heard on the wind speak of the great serpent known as the Gorgon.


These are the locations that players will be attempting to control and the terrain that will be used there. The rules for the special terrain and how much is used will be posted later as will how players take control of areas and what benefits they get from it.

COLONY SIX:
Standard terrain: Walls and fences, buildings, fountains, bridges, structures, rubble, water effects.
Special terrain: Scrap pile, Creepy structure, hanging tree, graveyard, mysterious effigies.

FORT CLARITY:
Standard Terrain: Rubble, ruins, hazardous terrain, free-standing walls, buildings
Special Terrain: Ancient monument, magic nexus, hanging tree, graveyard, mysterious effigies.

THE NECROPOLIS:
Standard Terrain: Single Standing Trees, Forests, Walls, ruins, Structures, rubble, soft ground.
Special Terrain: Graveyard, hanging tree, dead zone, creepy structure, ancient monument, mysterious effigies, magic nexus.

THE DARKLANDS:
Standard Terrain: huts or structures, soggy ground, tall reeds or plants, single trees, forests, hills, water effects, large rocks, ruins.
Special Terrain: Creepy structure, dead zone, scrap pile, mysterious effigies, hanging tree, soulstone vein.

DIG SITE:
Standard terrain: Walls, rubble, structures, water effects, ruins.
Special Terrain: Scrap pile, hazardous terrain, arcane apparatus, soulstone vein, hanging tree, graveyard, mysterious effigies.

CAVERN EXPANSE:
Standard Terrain: Forests, single standing trees, hills, boulders, ruins, rubble, soft ground, tall plants and reeds, water effects, walls,
Special Terrain: Ancient monument, magic nexus, creepy structure, campsite, soulstone vein.
